Who am I?

I am Angela Hider, a Senior Graphic and Creative Designer at the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, where I am a member of the Communications department. In my role, I specialize in the design of marketing materials for both print and web-based projects, all of which are dedicated to advancing the mission of the diocese. My responsibilities also include collaborating with a skilled team to enhance our website and various social media platforms, with the ultimate goal of broadening our outreach and influence. Furthermore, I provide training to our staff on the utilization of our internal website and ensure consistency in branding and messaging across the diocese. Some of the diverse projects I have had the privilege to work on involve the layout of magazines, booklets, annual reports, conference materials, indoor and outdoor signage, trade show graphics, logos, print and digital newsletters, as well as designs catering to various regions across Texas, among others.
Prior to my current position, I gained extensive experience as a graphic designer while supporting more than 27 programs and services across 25 school districts during my time at Harris County Department of Education. This multifaceted experience has allowed me to develop a strong affinity for bringing print and web-based projects to life, as well as creating a wide array of collateral for various platforms. My formal training at the Art Institute of Houston, coupled with a track record of winning numerous awards through TSPRA, has enriched my design acumen.
Outside of my professional life, I am a resident of the vibrant Houston Heights area, where I reside with my family, including three children and two rescue dogs. I describe myself as a passionate designer, a creative crafter, and a lover of food. I get great satisfaction from learning new concepts and experimenting with a spectrum of colors through various artistic mediums, allowing me to live a life with vivid creativity. During my leisure time, I relish moments spent at the beach with my family, exploring different countries, engaging in pickleball, and sharing quality time with friends.
